Electrolysis Hair Removal

Electrolysis is the only method of permanent hair removal that can treat both light and dark hairs as well as hairs that are coarse or fine. Most areas of the body can be treated using electrolysis, with the most common areas being the chin, lip, brows, and neck.

Electrolysis destroys the growth area of the hair follicle by using either heat, known as thermolysis, or a chemical that is created by using galvanic current.

Sometimes there is a slight reddening of the skin after treatment. A very fine sterile and disposable probe is inserted into the opening of the hair follicle, and the heat or galvanic current is directed at destroying the cells that make hair grow. The heat loosens the hair, and then the electrologist, Lorri Hochman, removes the hair with a tweezer.

Electrolysis involves multiple treatments depending on the type of hair and other growth factors. Each treatment will eliminate many hairs, so that when you leave our office you will feel more confident about your appearance.
